Thank You Larry Geffin
Our deepest gratitude to Larry Geffin, our Referral Partner from the Commonwealth School! Each fall Larry offers Summer Search students a free 10-week art course to help students develop their interest and ability in drawing and painting. Boston Recognizes Joe Jackson
“…Not just a teacher, this is a man who students know they can always go to and who constantly reminds you that his door is always open…”
All of our referral partners believe in the potential of their students and are committed to helping them reach that potential. One of Boston’s referral partners—Joe Jackson—has been an inspiration to his many students at Madison Park High School for over 25 years. Through his energy and dedication, Summer Search interviewed 50 Madison Park students this past year. In the words of his student Alberto Mendes, “This wonderful man could do anything, but he has chosen to help change the lives of students in special education. Not just a teacher, this is a man who students know they can always go to and who constantly reminds you that his door is always open. With his door and arms open wide, it is no wonder that Summer Search selected him to select kids.” Thank you, Joe, for your dedication, care, and commitment.
