Second Alumni Giving Challenge

Hey Summer Searchers,

As many of you know, Summer Search Alumni met and exceeded the first ever Alumni Giving Challenge this past year by raising $44,184.61! Thirteen percent of alumni participated in the challenge - thank you to all who gave so generously! With the matching gift of $40,000, you helped raised $84,184.61, which is enough to send 34 sophomores and juniors on life-changing programs this summer.

We are now embarking on the 2nd Alumni Giving Challenge. The goal is to have 25 percent of all alumni make a financial gift towards the Expand the Dream campaign for Summer Search. The goal of the campaign is to raise 20 million dollars through a combination of donations from public and private companies as well as Summer Search Alumni. There are a number of uses for this money that includes hiring more mentoring staff, investing in shared program initiatives and operational infrastructure all in an effort to serve more than 2000 students in our seven offices by 2012.

Please give to the Summer Search Expand the Dream campaign by participating in the 2nd Alumni Giving Challenge. The donation can be of any amount, from a dollar to as much as you feel you want to donate to the program. It always feels good when you can give back, especially to a program like Summer Search which serves low-income students in the city and has benefited us all a great deal through the years.
