Letter from the board

Dear Summer Search New York City Alumni,

As many of you know, following the 2007 first National Alumni Summit, members of the Summer Search New York City office have officially created a New York City alumni board. Under the auspices of the NYC mentors, your fellow alumni have developed a board that will help you and other alumni remain in contact with the Summer Search New York City office. Currently, the board consists of 9 alumni from the 2005-2007 graduating classes, and we look forward to getting the new 2008 alumni class involved—congratulations graduates and welcome to the alumni community!

We understand that as alumni we may become hesitant to contact our Summer Search mentors. This student-run alumni board will help us formulate a support community between each other—student to student.

One of our goals is to keep alumni aware of the numerous events, career-related programs, and internships held specifically for New York City alumni. While the board will make sure to keep you up-to-date, we still encourage you to remain in contact with your mentors in both the New York City and national offices—they would love to hear from you! Another way to keep in contact is through the Summer Search alumni directory, which will allow you to connect with approximately 2,000 of your fellow Summer Search alumni—please click on the link below. We encourage your participation in this growing community. And, lastly, please remember (and never ever forget) the familiar Summer Search mantra—once a Summer Search student, always a Summer Search student!
