Summer Search Philadelphia Exceeded It's Fundraising Goal This Year!
Thank you to all our supporters for your generous donations! Not only did we meet our fundraising goal, but we even exceeded it and raised $352,000 this year!

Summer Search Philadelphia is the Winner of the 2011 Human Values Award for Academics! The Human Values Awards honor leaders who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to improving the lives of others through their dedication and service to humanity.

Thank you to the Spruce Foundation for nominating us and thank you to our supporters, board of directors, staff and to our courageous students for helping us all have the way for change in our community!

Thank you to our Wharton In Action students who raised over $7,000 to support Summer Search students!

23 Summer Searchers have started college for the first time! Our graduating senior class has begun college at schools including Temple University, Colby-Sawyer College and the University of Pennsylvania. All of these students will receive continued support during college through our Bridge program.

Summer Search Philadelphia Celebrates It's Most Successful Summer To Date! All of our students, with the exception of one, successfully completed their summer trips and now home workign with their mentors to incorporate all that they have learned into their everyday lives. Our one student who had to return home because of a medical emergency, is very engaged and already thinking about her next summer trip!

On Aug. 31st, Summer Search seniors participated in a college workshop that gave students the opportunity to learn about the college application process, SAT prep courses, financial aid, and what they should expect in the upcoming year!

On July 14, 2011, Summer Search Philadelphia students met with Global Leadership Fellows from the World Economic Forum and discussed pressing issues such as global warming, conflicts in the Middle East, health, and leadership! Read more about ours students and the Global Leadership Fellows here.

At our Spring Event, all of our graduating seniors were surprised with laptops donated by students from the Radnor High School Microsoft Authorized Refurbishers club. Check out the video here!
