On October 17^th, Summer Searchers and their families gathered at Sequoia High School in Redwood City to celebrate their recent accomplishments, including the completion of their challenging summer experiential education programs. They recounted their achievements, struggles and newly discovered potential. Congratulations Summer Searchers for taking the risks necessary to grow as altruistic leaders!

Thank you to everyone who supported our fifth annual Summer Search Silicon Valley Where Change Begins dinner! With a sold out crowd and overwhelming generosity from our supporters, the evening was an incredible success, raising over $400,000 for students from San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Alameda counties. Career Discovery Day was a huge success! On August 9th Google hosted Career Discovery Day for Summer Search San Francisco and North Bay high school students at its San Francisco campus. Career Discovery Day is a day of exploring the diverse professional opportunities the Bay Area has to offer through workshops, a career panel, and workplace visits. There were volunteers from several organizations such as Google, Gap, Deloitte, Citi, Causes, and BlackRock.
