who are summer search students?
Summer Search students are low-income high school students who have leadership potential and the desire to improve their lives. In 2010 we served 1,696 students across the country.
- 95% of Summer Search students are low-income (defined as eligible for free/reduced Federal lunches)
- 91% are the first in their family to go to college
- Two-thirds are Black or Latino
